  Frequently Asked Questions...

Q...  My loved one is at the local hospital in ICU.  Can you come to the hospital and notarize a power of attorney form for me?  If so, what is your fee?

A... Yes.  As long as your loved one is cognizant and has appropriate ID.  There is a $30 travel fee for me to come to the local hospital and it's $10 per notarization.

Q... My loved one is in the local jail and needs to have a form notarized.  Will you go to the jail to notarize a document?  If so, what is your fee?

A... Yes.  There is a $30 travel fee to the local area and it's $10 per notarization.

Q... What types of transactions are you knowledgeable in handling?

A... I have successfully handled almost every type of real estate transaction, such as: sales (buyer/seller docs), refinances, second mortgages (HELOCs), reverse mortgages, properties in trusts, etc. I have also notarized secured settlements and other misc. documents. While I am knowledgeable about most of the different types of documents, I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice.

Q... Where can I go to get help with setting up a Trust?

A... I would suggest that you contact an attorney who specializes in setting up Trusts. Other than that, you may be able to receive help from a paralegal, an office supply store may have forms for you to do it yourself, and there may be online assistance available. Other than these suggestions, I cannot help you with setting up a Trust. I am not an attorney and I recommend that you contact one for assistance with a document as important as this.

Q... How can I make simple name changes on my property?

A... I believe that you can obtain a Quit Claim Deed form from the office supply store. You'll need to fill it out properly (you may need legal help from an attorney or perhaps a Title company) and have it notarized. You can then take it to the County Recorder's Office to have it recorded. I could be wrong about this, and I do not offer legal advice, so if you need legal advice about this or any other legal matter, please contact an attorney to help you. Hope that helps!
